WELLA OR NOT: The German subsidiary of Procter & Gamble said Thursday it has launched a mandatory two-week extension of its tender period for Wella AG shares that ends June 20. The additional acceptance period is required under German law. As reported, P&G signed an agreement in March to purchase 77.6 percent of the voting shares in Wella from its majority shareholders and announced its intention to launch a tender offer to all Wella shareholders. To date, P&G has acquired nearly 5.1 million voting and 1.5 million preference shares of Wella, representing 11.43 percent and 6.41 percent, respectively, of each class of shares, or a total of 9.69 percent of the registered share capital not held by the majority owners. The deal is still subject to regulatory review and government approvals in various markets, including the European Union and the U.S.

KISS ’EM GOODBYE: Jane Santopietro has joined Kiss My Face as vice president of sales. Santopietro most recently was vice president of field sales and director of sales at teen cosmetics company Bonne Bell, where she worked for 33 years.Santopietro is charged with heightening Kiss My Face’s brand awareness and strengthening the brand’s position in the marketplace. Santopietro will report to company founders Bob Macleod and Steve Byckiewicz.

PACK IT IN: Luxe Pack New York LLC, a new version of the packaging show Luxe Pack Monaco, will take place Tuesday and Wednesday. The inaugural run of the New York version will feature two seminars “Design: The New Currency” and “Branding Beauty.” It will also feature more than 40 exhibitors, including Techpack, Arcade Marketing and Meadwestvaco.
