CARVING IT OUT: The latest tanning innovation makes going to gym superfluous. The completely bare spa is now offering the Sculpted Tan, a tan created by an airbrush that defines muscles anywhere on the body just by keeping a finger on the trigger of the tanning gun. Technicians have been trained by a professional body painter to get the chiseling techniques perfect. The Sculpted Tan begins with a complete spray-on tan, followed by the accenting. Tans are designed to last four to six days, but sculpted areas may stay on longer, as they are darker. The Sculpted Tan is $68 per session and is available at completely bare downtown, 103 Fifth Avenue.

Besson helped with the 1999 launch of Kérastase to the U.S. market. She has overseen the development of the brand by managing marketing, sales and education through salons. Kérastase is currently carried in only the top 1 percent of salons across the U.S.
