NEW YORK — Sourcing and technology will be on the agenda in a series of seminars to run with the Material World trade show at the Miami Beach Convention Center set for March 16-18.

Organizers of the event, which is sponsored by the American Apparel & Footwear Association, said the opening-day breakfast will focus on sourcing, with presentations from top executives including Rhonda Brown, president and chief executive officer of Nine West; Ted Sattler, group executive vice president for foreign operations at Phillips-Van Heusen Corp., and George Feldenkreis, president and ceo of Perry Ellis International.

On the second day of the event, Joseph P. McConnell, vice president of strategic sourcing at Kellwood Co., will moderate another panel featuring a lineup of Latin American manufacturers.

Other seminars cover international trade, fashion forecasting and technology.

There are admission fees for many of the seminars, which range from $50 to $100 in advance. Most sponsor presentations are without charge. Details on specific times and fees can be found on the Web at
