Pure fun and then some… But what else should one expect form a brand that started its show with the admonition: “Don’t forget. Starstyling sucks worldwide.” Indeed, if one looked beyond the obvious hocus-pocus of this so-called Hokus Fokus collection, there were plenty of ideas that some will wear and others will copy. These include the pouch bags to Velcro on and off dresses and tops, attach to belts for a club-worthy take on money belts, or worn strapped around a leg or two. Velcro took on a decorative role, too, adding a simple, graphic element to tops and dresses. “Forever Michael” T-shirts and tops made a topical statement all their own.
Peter Kim's Los Angeles-based premium denim line has always had its finger on the pulse of youth.
