NEW YORK — Remember Perry Ellis? The one-time sportswear powerhouse has returned, and its latest licensee, Public Clothing Co., is making a strong bid to bring it back into the limelight. Inspired by Ellis’ designs from the Eighties, the new collection features some of the looks he made his trademarks, among them the easy cable knit sweater, fun updated knickers and full striped pants.
