HOLLYWOOD — If beautiful bodies are a religion in La-La-Land, the summertime daylong “nightclub” rite Sunday Service is clearly the city’s temple. The weekly Sunday afternoon party on the top-floor pool deck of the Hollywood & Highland shopping and entertainment complex gives Angelenos the license to pair high heels with the tiniest of bikinis (not exactly beach-ready) and get toasted on sun and cocktails. Forget MTV’s Beach House. Here, the DJs spin better tunes —?Bebel Gilberto, Talking Heads and 50 Cent — and thanks to celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, the grub is tastier. And, without any help from central casting, the bods are hotter, too.
"I think that all anyone really wants in life is to have people understand us for who we actually are, despite everything," says Ruth Negga. The actress talks "Preachers" season 2 and more on WWD.com. #wwdeye (📷: Dan Doperalski)
"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
