NEW YORK — Two top executives at Vivienne Tam, including its recently appointed chief executive officer, have left the company in what sources described as a shakeup at the contemporary sportswear house.

Georges Wichner, who joined the firm one month ago as its first ceo, left the company, as did Gabriel Gima, its marketing director for the past year, a spokeswoman for Tam confirmed on Tuesday. She would not characterize the nature of their departures, although sources at the company said both left after disputes with the designer over the direction of the 10-year-old signature collection.
