NEW YORK — Susan Anthony has joined Hermès of Paris, the U.S. subsidiary of Hermès International, as vice president of communications.

That post has been vacant since Corinna Berthold, vice president of marketing and communications, left in November.

For four years, Anthony has been at Kate Spade, where her most recent post was director of brand development. At Hermès, she will oversee external communication initiatives supporting the brand, including advertising, public relations and special events.

In a related move, Rory Hermelee has joined Hermès as director of special events. She succeeds Lisa Errico, who left in June.

Hermelee will manage and produce special events in collaboration with the p.r. team. For two years, she has been a special events producer at Escada, prior to which she worked in special events and p.r. at Coach.

Anthony, who will work with Francesca Leoni, director of p.r., Christine de Saint Andrieu, director of advertising, and Hermelee, reports to Robert Chavez, president and chief executive of Hermès of Paris.
