NEW YORK — Susan Lucci will soon be taking a page from the playbook of her vixenish “All My Children” character, Erica Kane, with a line of lingerie called Susan Lucci Intimates.

The actress will launch her sexy-looking lingerie Feb. 2 exclusively on the TV shopping network HSN and at hsn.com. According to Lucci, her lingerie collection will feature a “daring” lineup of styles and fashion colors “guaranteed to turn up the heat in any boudoir.”

Slated for Valentine’s Day gift-giving, Lucci will wear her lingerie in two initial one-hour spots: 11 a.m-noon and 7-8 p.m. Items will include a silk chemise and coordinating robe, a lace cami and matching boy-cut pants, a lace-trimmed mesh bodysuit in animal print and solid colors, and a sheer printed nightshirt with flirtatious flutter panties. Suggested retail will be $26 to $86. Sizes will range from small to 3X.

“It was HSN’s idea to do lingerie,” Lucci said. “They approached me saying it would be a good fit. I certainly wear a lot of lingerie in all of its guises on ‘All My Children.’ Lingerie-looking dressing is really out there right now and women want to see how to incorporate those lingerie looks in public.”

Lucci, who since 1999 has become a popular HSN personality with lines of sportswear, accessories, fragrance, jewelry and shoes that bear her name, said she was “involved in all product development” of the lingerie.

“I love lingerie,” she said. “It’s like jewelry for me. It makes me feel like I’m a kid in a candy store. I’ve always been one of those women where even if I’m wearing jeans, I’ll wear a sexy bra and panty underneath. It puts a gleam in your eye and a smile on your face.”

Regarding favorite styles, Lucci said, “I like things that have a lacy quality, items that look great in private but can also be part of a wardrobe. I like bias-cut looks very much. It’s very flattering to the derriere.”

She singled out one style in particular in her line of lingerie that she described as sexy and dual-purpose: “A long black stretch lace piece. It’s peekaboo, but it can be worn at home, over a bathing suit, over a cami or tank or with jeans.”Lucci noted that her lingerie styles could spice up the love lives of daytime TV viewers, saying, “Hey, why not? We can do that and help them get into the swing of things. Women are so busy juggling their lives with the kids and the home. This is a very easy way to keep yourself feeling good.”
