NEW YORK — Tropical and Caribbean influences are irresistible to swimwear designers, since these places are meccas for those in search of the perfect beach. This season, for example, Nautica is taking inspiration from the colors of tropical oceans. The new swim looks, done in cotton batik for authentic island influence, are then ruched to give them a body-hugging fit and paired with a coordinating piece that can be worn as a tube top or skirt. Here, a bandeau top, bikini bottom and micro mini, all in cotton.
