Luxurious-yet-low-key looks were the order of the day as the New York pre-fall collections continued. At Narciso Rodriguez, soft, full coats and short skirts turned up in his signature black and white or rich rose. At Akris, Albert Kriemler featured graphically patterned furs, wide-leg pants and dresses with subtle geometric motifs, in an Iceland-inspired line marked by texture interest and tundra tones. Meanwhile, Roberto Cavalli offered stylish, relatively toned-down coats and dresses that blended a certain subtlety with a touch of his trademark flash.
