Some of us are impervious to changing temperatures — usually it’s the artsier types for whom dressing is more about style and fun than just function. So it would be only natural that, come September and October, in Berlin one would expect to see a creative mix of fall, early winter and even, on warmer days, a bit of late summer, fashion touches. What does that look like? Lots of leather jackets and cardigans — mostly over jeans or leggings — and, still, a smattering of shorts for the brave-of-heart and the warmth on top for the more temperature-timid. Yet aside from all the great-looking crowd, one notices, often first, that Berlin is a city of bold, big bags. Some are large and luxurious, others fringed and fun.
