The 4,000 guests at Sunday’s Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, held at Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades, took the event’s dress code to heart, donning period or vintage-inspired ensembles to match the Twenties and Thirties, the era of polo’s heyday in Los Angeles. Knee-length dresses and seersucker suits were set off by jaunty hats and headpieces, from fascinators and cloche shapes to wide-brimmed numbers and, of course, the ever-popular fedora.
