Swarovski Award for Menswear Nominee

Tim Hamilton solidified his modern, urban look this year, first with a spring collection that was a little bit rockabilly and a little bit New Wave. The crisp silhouettes and bright palette seemed to vibrate with controlled electricity. For fall, he kept the vivid colors and contrasts, and worked a more rugged sensibility into the picture through parkas, zip-front combat boots and roomier silhouettes, while staying clear of outdoorsy connotations. “I’ve focused on structure, modernizing the fabrication and working with the most renowned factories in Italy, while keeping the design aesthetic streamlined and minimal,” says Hamilton.
