Derek Lam's latest collection for Tod's has taken a more feminine turn since its launch a year ago, yet it retains what Lam calls that “sportswear sharpness.”

With a nod toward safari dressing, Lam trimmed a tunic dress in laundered georgette with paper-thin leather trimmings and pieced together a sundress of ultrasoft patched suede and python.

Though the line started as a tiny capsule, it has grown to include 20 pieces this season — and with good reason: Lam's look is sensible and luxe.
