THE ENVELOPE PLEASE: Gucci Eau de Parfum and Parfums Yves Saint Laurent’s M7 took the top prizes for best women’s and men’s scents at the European FiFi Awards, which were held in Paris.
GOING FOR GOLD: L’Oréal announced the winners of its e-Strat Challenge international online business competition during a recent soiree at Paris’ Eiffel Tower. First prize was awarded to the team from France’s INSEAD business school, which included Tolga Cebe, Sahil Merchant and Nicolas Zurstarassen. Winners were culled from an initial applicant pool of 17,000 people from more than 80 countries.
FINAL PUT: Lancôme says it will sponsor the Trophee Lancôme one more time in September and then end its 34-year partnership with the golf tournament. A Lancôme spokeswoman said the brand plans rather to team up with events that have more meaning for Lancôme’s customers today. “A sports event for men no longer fits in with this ambition,” said the company in a statement.
