Turkish designers are out to make inroads with U.S. stores.
The Istanbul Textile & Apparel Exporters Association is bringing a select group of Turkish designers to the Fashion Coterie this season.
“The Coterie is a juried show and the inclusion of our exhibitors confirms our belief in their artistry, creativity and appeal for the American designer market,” said Nuri Artok, chairman of the ready-made apparel division of the association.
Some of the designers to look for:
Arzu Kaprol: day- and eveningwear.
Hatice Gokee: textile designer who designs fabrics for her own tailored sportswear line.
Bahar Korcan: active sportswear.
Evrim Timur: ready-to-wear made from fabrics of natural fibers.
