Anja and Sandra Umann, the identical twin sisters behind vegan fashion label Umasan, showed a mostly black and white lineup for men and women, layering stricter and more relaxed pieces in plant-based SeaCell, MicroModal and Tencel fabrics. The feel was sometimes old-world; the men’s tailored jackets and coats, especially when styled with felt hats, read prairie pioneers or itinerant preachers, while hooded items had a Goth vibe. There was often a sense of heaviness — a notion underscored by the admonishments to appreciate our planet’s everyday miracles that were recited during the runway show by an actor.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
