The feel was sometimes old-world; the men’s tailored jackets and coats, especially when styled with felt hats, read prairie pioneers or itinerant preachers, while hooded items had a Goth vibe. There was often a sense of heaviness — a notion underscored by the admonishments to appreciate our planet’s everyday miracles that were recited during the runway show by an actor.
