WYOMISSING, Pa. -- Weldon Schenck has been named to the new post of president of VF-Intimate Apparel-Europe, reporting to Mackey J. McDonald, president and chief operating officer of VF Corp.
Schenck will oversee all of VF's intimate apparel operations in Europe. He will be based in Paris.
Schenck was president of the Sara Lee personal products division in Europe from 1989 to 1993. He started with Sara Lee in 1984, became president of its Hanes Hosiery in 1985 and chief executive officer of Sara Lee Hosiery in 1987.
Paul Charron, former executive vice president of VF Corp., had overseen the company's intimate apparel operation in Europe. As reported, Charron left VF to become vice chairman and chief operating officer at Liz Claiborne Inc. in May.
