NEW YORK — Maurice Reznik has been appointed president of the Warner’s division of The Warnaco Group.

He succeeds Larry Karp, who is joining the 1928 Jewelry Co. as president and chief operating officer. Karp said he will relocate to the fashion jewelry firm’s headquarters in Burbank, Calif. The new post is effective April 4, said Karp. Karp has been with Warner’s since 1981.

Reznik, who reports to Linda J. Wachner, president, chairman and chief executive officer of Warnaco, joined Warner’s in January as vice president of sales. A successor has not been named.

Earlier, Reznik had been vice president of sales at Playtex in the U.S. for two years. Before that, he had been an area vice president of sales for 13 years at Vanity Fair Mills.

The Warner’s division consists of the Warner’s brand bras and panties business and is a key segment of Warnaco’s overall intimate apparel operations, whose sales totaled $423.2 million in 1993.

In another move at Warnaco, Floyd O’Quinn has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Warner’s, a new post.

O’Quinn reports to Reznik.

Before joining Warner’s, O’Quinn was vice president and chief financial officer of Vanity Fair Mills in Monroeville, Ala., from 1991 to 1994. Earlier, he held various posts at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. for 13 years.

All financial and MIS operations for Warner’s will report to O’Quinn.
