PROVOCATEUR IN VEGAS: It was a birthday bonanza of sorts Saturday night in Las Vegas when Agent Provocateur marked the first year of its retail door in Sin City and the 10-year milestone for the company by also celebrating Kelly Osbourne's 21st birthday. At Brent Bolthouse's club, Body English, in the Hard Rock Hotel, Dita Von Teese capped a lingerie show with two performances, a Dietrich-inspired strip and her balloon act en pointe. Osbourne's buddy, Paris Hilton, seemed to be planning her own trick with the pet monkey she kept around her neck through the party, which didn't get going until midnight. Friends of Osbourne and AP received the valise the lingerie house designed in collaboration with Longchamp — a pale pink case zigzagged with a black patent leather bondage strap. Inside was a special-edition bra and panty festooned with dice and other magic motifs, AP's beauty line and Sebastian hair care products. — Rose Apodaca
FOOTLOOSE AND LUCKY: Liz Claiborne Inc. chairman and chief executive officer Paul Charron and some 600 other revelers got footloose Friday at Lucky Brand Jeans annual Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala, a fund-raiser replete with an after-supper concert by Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina. The party at the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel raised about $700,000 for the Children's Health Fund. Vernon, Calif.-based Lucky, a subsidiary of Liz Claiborne, welcomed Prana founders Beaver and Pam Theodosakis, whose Vista, Calif., activewear label, Prana, was acquired by Liz Claiborne in October. Lucky founders Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman, who have raised almost $6 million for children's charities since 1996, got a $1 million pledge to their foundation over the next 10 years from L.E.I. founder Mel Geliebter. — Khanh T.L.
