Things looked grim for the 64-year-old designer in August,when she went on a weeklong lamb after clos- ing her West 35th Street of- fices in Manhattan,without much explanation.But then she returned to the scene to give a few scholar- ly lectures on her use of an- cient symbols and icons in her collections in December,looking quite re- freshed and ready for fash- ion action.What ’s more, the designer has dropped a few hints at those appear- ances that he ’s got a new project in the works —and she didn ’t mean husband number eight.
