NEW YORK — Wendy White, formerly vice president of merchandising and marketing for sportswear at Liz Claiborne, has joined the Robert Terry unit of SBH Group, a division of Kellwood Co., as vice president of sales and marketing.

White succeeds Peter Lonegran, who, as reported, left several months ago to become president of the Evan Picone division of the Jones Apparel Group. White reports to Andrew C. Stich, president of SBH, which is headquartered in Dedham, Mass.

Robert Terry manufactures better-priced private label ready-to-wear and sportswear.

White was president of Pinstripes Petites from 1983 to 1992. She was a founder of the retail chain, which was bought by Sears, Roebuck in 1988 and closed last year.
