Decadence is a byword for fall 2008 fabrics. Some of this season's offerings are one part tradition and two parts irreverent dandyism. At the Première Vision Preview, scheduled for July 18 and 19 at New York's Metropolitan Pavilion, exhibitors are showing polkadots, stripes and plaids laced with metallics or used on materials with a sheen, along with vibrantly colored paisleys. These distinctive versions of haberdashery patterns bring to mind Oscar Wilde's Dorian Gray.
