NEW YORK -- William R. Martin, 59, president of Martin Shows Inc., a production company servicing the fashion industry, died Wednesday of cancer in Roosevelt Hospital here.
In the Seventies, he established Martin Shows, a company that coordinates and produces industrial and fashion shows for corporate clients throughout the U.S. The firm worked for a number of designers and retailers here. Among his credits was the fashion show in Central Park held during the Democratic National Convention here.
Martin is survived by a sister, Barbara Martin.
A memorial service is being planned for middle of this month.
