MILAN — Alessandra Ilari has been named bureau chief of WWD’s office here.
Ilari has been with the company for 15 years. She was first hired as an editorial assistant, and most recently was co-bureau chief and fashion editor for the bureau. Ilari now solely supervises the day-to-day editorial operation of the Milan office, and keeps her responsibilities for fashion coverage.
Additionally, Amanda Kaiser has joined the bureau here as a reporter. For the past three years, she worked at Dow Jones Newswire where she covered the fashion and retail business, automotive industry news, as well as general stock market and financial news. Before joining Dow Jones, she was at Italy Daily, an insert in The International Herald Tribune, covering such subjects as travel, food, social and environmental affairs.
