NEW YORK — It’s rare when a David Yurman store opens, and the program for expansion remains conservative.
But last Thursday’s ribbon-cutting at the Americana Manhasset luxury shopping center in Long Island, N.Y., marked a pickup in the jewelry and watch designer’s retail program this year, with upcoming openings set for Bal Harbour Shops in Florida in August and, in the early fall, Atlanta’s Lenox Mall and the Houston Galleria. Previously, the company cited a potential to open 10 to 12 stores in the U.S. over the next several years, with the bulk of Yurman’s business remaining wholesaling to higher-priced department and specialty stores.
"I think that all anyone really wants in life is to have people understand us for who we actually are, despite everything," says Ruth Negga. The actress talks "Preachers" season 2 and more on WWD.com. #wwdeye (📷: Dan Doperalski)
"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
