A TOUCH OF PARIS: Jean Paul Gaultier will jet into Manhattan to be honored by the Lycée Francais de New York at its annual gala on March 17. The designer should feel right at home at the Park Avenue Armory event, since this year’s gathering will celebrate “Les Années Folles,” Paris in the Twenties, a prime period of cultural exchange between France and the U.S. Gaultier will be given the Charles de Ferry de Fontnouvelle Award, which is named for the school’s founder. Pamela Berkovic, Veronica Bulgari, Fadwa Robb and Sabina Schlumberger will co-chair the benefit.
The Gotham-loving designer’s stay won’t be all work and no play. He plans to speak with LFNY students, before taking a few field trips on his own to the galleries in Chelsea, Comme des Garçons and the Sunday flea market.
