Jonathan Adler, Toms Shoes Toast Collaboration

Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan opened their home on Wednesday night.

MAJOR TOMS: Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan opened their home on Wednesday night to fete Adler’s new collaboration with Toms Shoes.

The uberstylish couple, along with Toms founder Blake Mycoskie, welcomed a group of friends and journalists to view the new print-heavy summer collection at a casual cocktail party. Guests including Stacey Bendet, Amy Fine Collins, Robert Verdi and Lauren Bush Lauren sipped pineapple-vodka drinks before loading up on individual chicken pot-pies.

Once the crowd had claimed impromptu dinner seats throughout the brightly decorated apartment, Adler and Mycoskie appeared from above. “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” Mycoskie faux-sang from his perch on the apartment’s indoor balcony. After a titter of laughter, the philanthropist businessman got serious.

“Having a new member of our Toms family is really special,” he said, turning to Adler. “It’s something I don’t take for granted. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to have you create these amazing designs that will only get more people wearing the shoes.”
