SARTORIAL CLASS: Some of Africa’s snappiest dressers will pay homage to Yohji Yamamoto and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac with a fashion show-come-performance on Feb. 16 to mark the opening of the “Le Bord des mondes” (“At the Edge of the Worlds”) exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo contemporary art museum in Paris.

The sapeurs, heralds of a dapper street style born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, will perform their tribute in the presence of Castelbajac.

The exhibition, which explores territories outside the strictly defined realm of art, will also include clothes by avant-garde Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen and wigs by French hairdresser Charlie Le Mindu. “Le Bord des mondes” is scheduled to run from Feb. 18 to May 17.
