VOICE OF REASON: “I love her music, she is a fantastic singer and her songs make me go back in time,” Agnona designer Stefano Pilati said Friday night, explaining why he chose Alison Moyet to perform at a concert for the Italian brand at the 16th century Palazzo Spinola, which houses the Società del Giardino, a private gentlemen’s club.

To be sure, Moyet did not disappoint and sang some of her greatest hits, such as the Eighties hit “Love Resurrection,” in the exquisite Sala d’Oro, adorned with columns and golden friezes.

Among those taking in the tunes were Gildo Zegna, ceo of the Ermenegildo Zegna group, which owns the Agnona brand, and up-and-coming designer Andrea Incontri, who confessed he was not so up on Eighties singers. His priority? Expanding his namesake label. “I would like to develop more in the U.S.,” he said, adding that Dubai and Moscow were also on his radar.
