All About Wes Gordon

ALL ABOUT WES: Diane Gordon was clearly the proud mom greeting throngs of guests at her son Wes’ fashion show at Chelsea Piers. She explained that ever since her son was a junior in high school in Atlanta, he knew he wanted to be a fashion designer. While he “did fabulous on his SATs” and got into 13 colleges, he insisted on going to Central Saint Martin’s in London to study fashion, she said. When he graduated, he set up his own company and manufactures entirely in New York. Gordon, who was dressed in a Wes Gordon dress and coat, looks forward to her son’s expanded product line. “If he made underwear, I’d have that on,” she said.

Later in the evening, Gordon hosted an after party at Mister H. Burlesque dancers shed their corsets and gyrated on the bar and a pole by the DJ, but photography was strictly forbidden. “You can’t take pictures of my girls,” a mustachioed man in a fedora sneered. “Have some class.” Gordon’s parents had relocated to the back room out of the way of the melee that throbbed and pulsed around the bar.
