Leighton Meester took a break from filming “Gossip Girl” to hit the Jason Wu show on Friday. “They like for us to go to these things,” she explained. “It helps promote the show.”
The actress was looking forward to all her outings, including Calvin Klein’s 40th anniversary party, the Calvin Klein Collection (“I’m obsessed,” she enthused) and her very first Marc Jacobs show.
Down the front row, Paula Patton, Malin Akerman, Joy Bryant and “The Wackness” starlet Olivia Thirlby had all come to support Wu.
“I get a bit overwhelmed at fashion week sometimes,” admitted Patton, who also planned to hit Philip Lim’s and Charlotte Ronson’s shows. “I knew Charlotte before I even started acting,” she said. “I’m so proud she’s having her first runway show.”
Up next for the actress is a turn alongside Lenny Kravitz in Lee Daniel’s “Push.” “He’s a genius,” gushed Patton of her director, who also produced 2001’s “Monster’s Ball.”
