TAKING A BOW: “I did not have any experience [it was] probably the most anxiety-ridden part of this entire experience,” Joseph Altuzarra said on Wednesday night on the second floor atrium of the David Koch Theater at Lincoln Center at a dinner following the New York City Ballet’s Spring Gala. Altuzarra had designed costumes for the earlier premiere of a pas de deux choreographed by his friend Christopher Wheeldon and had not been ready for the ceremonial bow after. “I didn’t even know I was supposed to do it until 15 minutes before it started,” he laughed. Others on hand for the evening in included Ahn Duong, Allison Sarofim, Jill Kargman, Valentino and Queen Latifah, who sang Gershwin’s “The Man I Love” during an excerpt from Balanchine’s “Who Cares?,” but who did not stay for dinner.
