ANIMAL FARM: Amanda Seyfried’s trip to Paris has involved something of a rite of passage: her first visit to Versailles. She eschewed the palace itself in favor of the famous landscaped gardens — “We didn’t do the house thing because it’s quite busy,” said Seyfried at the Givenchy show, where she sat front row in a casual ensemble of ribbed crop top and stone-washed jeans. “I wasn’t interested as much in the inside as I was with the goats and barnyard animals,” she said, referring to the mini-farm within the chateau’s grounds. “It was amazing.”
Seyfried was in town to shoot a campaign for the brand’s Very Irresistible fragrance, for which she is the face. Later this summer, she will begin filming Andrew Niccol’s “Anon,” in which she stars opposite Clive Owen. “I’m a hacker in a futuristic parallel dystopian universe, as you are in any of Andrew Niccol’s movies,” she explained. Is she computer-savvy herself? “I would like to understand it more so I know I’m not going to get hacked,” she said.
Dwyane Wade and Hong Kong-based singer and fashion designer Pakho Chau were also among the guests at the show Friday afternoon.
