PALETTE PANDEMONIUM: When Anastasia Soare was asked how fast it’s going to take her beauty brand’s upcoming master palette with Mario Dedivanovic to sell out, she promptly snapped her fingers. “It’s going to be sold out like this,” she predicted. “We just made a limited number.”

Of course, Anastasia Beverly Hills has scored hits with collaborations before, notably those with digital sensations Amra Olević, aka Amrezy, and Tamanna Roashan, but the palette with Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist raises the anticipation to unprecedented heights. “He is very talented. He understands makeup. He understands blending. He is a real artist,” said Soare of Dedivanovic. Work started a year-and-half-ago on the palette, which Soare divulged is set to roll out for the holiday shopping season across the brand’s distribution network that includes Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s and Nordstrom. “It’s formulas that he likes and the colors that he likes to work with. Of course, he has already tried it on his celebrity clients,” said Soare. Kardashian is a client of both Soare and Dedivanovic, and the two are close friends. “In my opinion, he does the most beautiful makeup on Kim. When she looks the best, you know that the makeup is done by Mario,” said Soare. She remarked the trickiest part of developing the palette was making sure it stayed under wraps. Soare lamented, “It’s so hard to keep it a secret.”
