GALLERY GOING: Ukrainian-born photographer and artist Yelena Yemchuk opens her first Italian exhibition on Saturday at Milan’s Nonostante Marras gallery, run by her longtime friend Antonio Marras.

Titled “Dangerous Intruder,” the exhibit will run through April 28 and feature a selection of Yemchuk’s watercolors and pencil drawings, which often present historical or literary heroes in surreal situations.

Yemchuk, whose work has appeared in Vogue Italia, Vogue Japan, AnOther Magazine, the New Yorker and the New York Times, previously collaborated with Marras on the advertising campaigns for Kenzo, when the designer was at the brand’s creative helm. More recently, the duo teamed up for a photo series called “Ten Years After” and shot at Marras’ home in his native Sardinia.
