ART LOVE: It’s no secret Lisa Perry has an affinity for contemporary art, particularly the pop variety. For her fourth artist-inspired, limited-edition collection, the designer turned to Robert Indiana, who is perhaps best known for his graphic “Love” image. That iconic piece, Perry said, “has made me happy since I first saw it when I was a little girl. I admire the brilliance of an artist that can create something that becomes iconic and recognizable for the ages.” It, along with other Indiana paintings such as “Decade Autoportrait” and “Numbers,” are worked into apparel pieces. The collection will launch in early September at Perry’s store on Madison Avenue as well as http://www.lisaperrystyle.com, with sales benefitting The Whitney Museum of American Art.
