Artémis Buys California Winery

The holding company has high hopes for Araujo Estate Wines.

VINTAGE PURCHASE: Artémis, French billionaire François Pinault’s family holding company, has bought cult California winery Araujo Estate Wines in Napa Valley from owners Bart and Daphné Araujo for an undisclosed sum, it announced on Friday.

“This estate has an amazing potential and will take its place among the great terroirs currently owned by Artémis: Château Latour in Bordeaux, Domaine d’Eugénie in Burgundy and Château Grillet in the Rhône Valley,” Artémis said in a statement.
