Astor Capital Sells Stake in Vitrinepix

Launched in April 2010, Vitrinepix provides technology to help businesses create their own online stores.

ASTOR CAPITAL SELLS STAKE IN BRAZILIAN FIRM: Astor Capital, a venture capital firm with offices in New York and Rio de Janeiro, has sold its investment stake in Vitrinepix, for an undisclosed amount to Spreadshirt. Vitrinepix, launched in April 2010, provides technology to help businesses create their own online stores. Vitrinepix’s services include security for all transactions, customer service and delivery support. The company is based in São Paulo.

Astor Capital invested in the company in February 2013, but had been advising the company since 2011.

Astor Capital is the investment arm of investment banking firm The Astor Group. In 2012, Astor Capital, along with Intel Capital, the global investment and mergers and acquisitions arm of semiconductor giant Intel Corp, invested in Elike. Elike is a Brazilian startup that has a business-to-business platform as well as a social shopping component through its business-to-consumer platform.
