AUDEMARS PIGUET MEETS MIAMI: Luxe watchmaker Audemars Piguet is making its Miami Art Basel debut this year. The brand is sponsoring the fair and hosting visitors in its Art Collectors Lounge, where it will feature a specially curated exhibition of timepieces that will chronicle the brand’s storied history and place of origin, namely Le Brassus, Switzerland.
This exhibition follows previous involvements with art fairs around the world, including the Audemars Piguet show, “From Avant-Garde to Icon,” which celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak model.

“The story of Audemars Piguet in particular is one in which art and craft intertwine, and where the tradition of the artisan is combined with the vision of the artist,” said interim chief executive officer François-Henry Bennahmias. “We look forward to forging closer ties with the progressive world of contemporary art and to developing a long-term collaboration with Art Basel”.
Audemars Piguet will also run additional special events and activities in collaboration with leading artists throughout the duration of the fair.
