AWARDS NIGHT: Nally & Millie is the latest California brand to be feted by accounting firm Moss Adams with its Fashion Innovator Award. In the past, the award has gone to Petro Zillia, Juan Carlos Obando, Corey Lynn Calter and Frankie B. Husband and wife James and Nally Park started Los Angeles-based Nally & Millie in 1999 to bridge the contemporary and missy markets. The brand, which is known for tops and dresses, is now carried in more than 1,000 stores in the U.S., including Von Maur and Searle. Nally & Millie’s award was revealed last week at an event entitled “California Dreaming: A Fashion Celebration for a Cause,” hosted by Taylor Armstrong and Brett Walkow at the former Cathedral of St. Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.
The brand participated in a fashion show during the event that also included Rhapsody Clothing Inc., The Continuous Line, Angelino, International Citizen Design House, Odina Surf, Robert Joseph, Unspoken, CoCo Johnsen and Marisa Kensen.
