ZODIAC LINE: Jewelry designer Solange Azagury-Partridge, who opened her first store in Hong Kong earlier this month, is relaunching her Chinese zodiac collection.
The line, which consists of 12 rings and pendants — one for every zodiac sign — are made of 18-carat gold and enamel and each priced at 13,600 Hong Kong dollars, or $1,748 at current exchange. The designer also created a special “menagerie” necklace featuring all the animals in the Chinese zodiac plus Solange’s favorite creatures, such as the bee and the snail.
Azagury-Partridge is relaunching the zodiac collection ahead of the Lunar New Year, which falls on Jan. 23. Luxury brands, such as Hermès and Shanghai Tang, have introduced special items for the Lunar New Year in the past, often in lucky red. In honor of the upcoming Year of the Dragon, Azagury-Partridge is putting great emphasis on the dragon motif, which, like the other zodiac signs, is available as a pendant or ring.
