AZARENKA’S TIME: This is a big week for Victoria Azarenka. The number-one ranked player on the Women’s Tennis Association Tour is not only expected to heat up the court at the U.S. Open, she has also been named Citizen Watch Co.’s newest brand ambassador. The Belarus native will be a face for the company’s Eco-Drive Unstoppable media campaign along with Eli Manning, Kim Clijsters, race car driver Matt Kenseth, golfer Paula Creamer, ice hockey player Dion Phaneuf in Canada, and cricket star Kevin Pietersen in the U.K.

Citizen, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary as the official timekeeper and watch of the tennis tournament in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., chose Azarenka for her determination and style as well as her accomplishments.

Her association with the brand spans North and South America, the U.K., Oceania and Asia. Print ads will break in late fall along with television, digital and in-store media.
