Ballantyne Taps Matthew Williamson

British designer does knitwear range for Italian brand.

COLOR FIELD: Italian cashmere company Ballantyne has teamed up with British fashion designer Matthew Williamson to launch a capsule knitwear collection. “We chose Matthew Williamson for his sensitivity to colors,” said Ballantyne chief executive officer Franco Natalucci.

The men’s and women’s ranges, which will include about 10 cashmere pieces each, will be presented respectively during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris this month and at 10 Corso Como during Women’s Fashion Week in Milan in February. Details about prices and distribution were not yet available.
