WEARABLE ART: Barbara Kruger is letting people see the world through her artistic lens. In another move to take her art to the public (she previously plastered her red, white and black declarations on L.A. Metro buses), the contemporary artist has designed sunglasses in collaboration with Los Angeles’ Freeway Eyewear. “Your gaze hits the side of my face,” a phrase that Kruger first used in artwork circa 1981, appears across the arm of Freeway’s L.A. Rays style. The wearable art sells for $200, or twice what Freeway Eyewear charges for the plain version of the L.A. Rays. The collaboration is launching as part of a holiday-themed store called Give Good Art run by UCLA’s Hammer Museum and art organization ForYourArt.
