BELSTAFF’S NEW WOMAN: Belstaff has named Delphine Ninous vice president of women’s design, the British luxury lifestyle brand is set to reveal today.
The role, a new position at the company, will see Ninous take responsibility for the artistic direction of all Belstaff’s women’s wear collections and the creative development of the women’s side of the brand. Ninous, who was most recently design director at Paul & Joe and has held design posts at labels including Christian Lacroix, Isabel Marant, Comptoir de Contonniers and Diane von Furstenberg, will report to Belstaff’s chief executive officer, Gavin Haig. The designer’s first collection for Belstaff will be fall 2015, to be shown during London Fashion Week in February. The label’s women’s collections had previously been designed by Martin Cooper, the former chief creative officer of Belstaff, before he left the company earlier this year. Frederik Dyhr, vice president of design for men’s wear, continues to be responsible for Belstaff’s men’s collections.
