NEED A LIFT?: The Beverly Center has an addition to tout and it’s not another tenant. The Los Angeles shopping center said it’s working with on-demand, ride-sharing service Lyft by offering designated pickup and drop-off zones for customers using Lyft to get to the mall. It’s an exclusive relationship between the two that runs through first-quarter 2016.
New customers get a $20 discount for their first ride to the center to provide further incentive to use the service. It’s not the first time a ride-sharing service has partnered with a shopping center.
Caruso Affiliated last year teamed with Uber to offer shoppers at its Americana at Brand or The Grove shopping centers free round-trip Uber Black rides if they spent $450 or more in a single day during the holidays.
