BHV to Exhibit Work by Sakina M’Sa

The show will run from Feb. 14 to April 28.

BLUE NOTE: French department store BHV will showcase the work of designer Sakina M’Sa from Feb. 14 to April 28. The exhibition is called “Eco-Système de la Mode” (or “Fashion Ecosystem” in English), in a nod to Roland Barthes’ “The Fashion System,” and will present her environmentally friendly line. M’Sa’s fall-winter 2013-2014 collection, Blue Line, uses recycled materials including blue workers’ overalls, a signature of her work. M’Sa, who was born in the Comoros Islands and moved to France as a young girl, was one of the winners of the PPR Foundation’s 2010 Social Entrepreneurs Awards and has previously collaborated with Puma on a bag. The exhibit will be held in the store’s Observatoire du BHV exhibition space.
